OHIO EDCHOICE EXPANSION SCHOLARSHIP (K-8) – New! The Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice Expansion) Program provides students from designated public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. Every Ohio student is now eligible! The EdChoice Expansion Program is an income-based program. It provides scholarships to students in grades K–12 based on household income level. OHIO EDCHOICE TRADITIONAL SCHOLARSHIP (K-8) The Traditional Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program provides students from underperforming public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. In order to find out if your child is eligible for the scholarship, please visit: http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Other-Resources/Scholarships/EdChoice-Scholarship-Program. The application period begins in February. An additional component of this program allows families to submit income verification to determine their low income qualification.
OHIO JON PETERSON SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOLARSHIP (K-8) The JPSN Scholarship Program provides scholarships to students who are eligible to attend kindergarten through 12th grade and have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) from their district of residence. The amount of each scholarship will be based on the disability identified on the student’s IEP. There is no set application period for this scholarship. To apply for a Peterson Scholarship through SVF, parents of eligible students must first contact the Principal to register. Elementary School Tuition Grants (PreSchool – 8th Grade) - Offered to those who are attending Catholic schools and need tuition assistance. These scholarships are needs-based and include families up to 649% of the federal poverty level. Applications are due February 25, 2024.
Welcome Scholarship (Preschool – 8th Grade) – Provided to students who are the first in their immediate family to attend a Catholic school. For 2024-25, 300 scholarships of $1,000 each will be offered on a first come, first served basis. The application window opens on January 8th and will continue until all 300 have been awarded.
Employee Scholarship – Provided to children of Catholic school employees. 300, $1,000 scholarships will be randomly chosen from those who apply. The application window opens January 8th and students will be randomly chosen during the week of February 5th.
Emergency Scholarships – Provided throughout the year to those who experience a hardship. Scholarships are up to $1,000 per student. Contact the school principal or business manager for an aid request form.
