About SVF's St. Albert's Innovation Station
St. Vincent Ferrer's STEM Lab, St. Albert’s Innovation Station, named after the Patron Saint of scientists, St. Albert the Great, has been an exciting addition to our school in the past few years. Each year, it continues to grow as we find new uses for the space that we are so grateful to have. The Innovation Station is equipped with an extensive list of STEM-supporting items, including a LEGO corner, a Clever Touch panel, new furniture that invites exploration through experiences, and a sink and countertop area.
Classroom teachers in Preschool through 8th grade may plan lessons and utilize St. Albert’s Innovation Station for their students. Additionally, students in Kindergarten through eighth grade attend a technology class once a week in the lab. Other uses for the Innovation Station include space for an elective course each week, various after-school programs, whole-school science experiments (hatching baby chicks from eggs), and more. We are incredibly excited about the educational opportunities this space offers for hands-on instruction at St. Vincent Ferrer School.
