St. Vincent Ferrer's Educational Philosophy
- St. Vincent Ferrer School is a Catholic elementary school serving students from preschool through eighth grade.
- St. Vincent Ferrer School's educational goal is to develop the whole child, meaning we believe in and implement education that not only meets your child's academic needs but also their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. This is achieved by a close working relationship between the classroom teacher and the school's counselor.
- St. Vincent Ferrer School is fully accredited by the State of Ohio.
- St. Vincent Ferrer School exists to offer your child and family an excellent opportunity to experience Christian education in action, as well as the finest education in the traditionally prescribed areas of language arts, math, science, social studies, and the arts.
- St. Vincent Ferrer School follows the graded course of study, aligned with state standards as required by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
What additional student opportunities make St. Vincent Ferrer's academic program notable?
- A weekly rotation of special area classes is offered at St. Vincent Ferrer School. These courses are designed to enhance the core academic program and expose our students to experiences in Art, Music, Physical Education, Technology, Library, and Bible Class.
- The Buddy Program is a long-standing initiative that pairs upper-grade students with lower-grade students. The students meet with their buddy weekly. Their time together includes reading books, serving the community, exploring STEM projects, sitting together at our weekly Mass celebration, and more.
- St. Vincent Ferrer School strives to provide big-school opportunities in a small-school setting by offering a variety of extracurricular activities, including Band, Art Spark, Tippy Toes Dance, Destination Imagination, and Athletic Programs.
