All people who work or volunteer within the Archdiocese of Cincinnati must attend a live VIRTUS session and read their monthly bulletins. Volunteers and employees must do a background check through Selection.com from within their VIRTUS account. All school employees myst also complete the BCI and FBI fingerprinting once every five years. Our school complies with the Decree on Child Protection as promulgated by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
All adults who coach any sports team or who volunteer to work with or around children at St. Vincent Ferrer Parish and School are required by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati to participate in both a child protection training program known as VIRTUS and to complete a Background Check. In some cases, a physical fingerprint may also be needed.
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati website contains important information regarding protecting our children at all parishes and schools in the Archdiocese. You can also read the most current version of the Decree on Child Protection and learn more about VIRTUS, the Background Check and fingerprinting.
